Online Safety

We take the safety of our students very seriously in aspects of their life. In school we have all of the necessary safeguards (e.g. filtering) to ensure that students are safe when in school however the modern world, social media and the internet exposes young people to risk and danger that is constantly evolving. Ultimately the only way to keep young people safe online is by teaching them about managing the risk and to recognise danger.

In addition to this our Safer Schools Police Officer and Network Manager are available to help if anyone is concerned. The NSPCC and Safer Internet Centre have a wide range of resources to help parents and students manage online safety at home.

CEOP is the national agency for preventing online crime against children and should be used to report anything to the police that concerns you – you will see it on some other websites. The Tell Us button is Royds specific but if you just want to talk to someone about something that worries you rather than report it to the police, then come back to our site and make a report.
