Expectations

We provide a secure and safe environment for students. School life is characterised by a calm and purposeful learning environment, underpinned by relationships built upon mutual respect.  Our expectation is that all students and staff will behave in appropriate and socially acceptable ways. Every member of staff has a key role to play in promoting and sustaining the highest standards of behaviour for learning.

The Behaviour Policy seeks to encourage young people to make positive choices and reinforces those choices through praise. We recognise that even when encouraged to make the right choice, some students will occasionally make choices that hinder their own learning or that of others.

Royds has a Stages of Behaviour system that is clear, consistent and fair.  We do not tolerate any behaviour that disrupts learning and have the highest standards and expectations of all students.
