Next week is National Apprenticeship Week.

There are lots of resources, events, and stories online at:

Apprenticeships in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math's) are a really good option for many young people seeking a career. But as a parent or carer how can you help guide them through the process if you don't have the right information or know what's involved?

Prior to next week on 3rd February, 6pm to 7pm, students and parents can access an hour-long online event.

This event will include:

  • A focus on STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math's careers.
  • Amazing Apprenticeships will explore what an apprenticeship is, the different qualifications that can be achieved and how to find them.
  • The role of training providers with input from a local college.
  • An opportunity to hear from Lloyds Banking Group about how apprentices fit into their organisation.
  • Interviews with current apprentices to find out first-hand what being an apprentice means.
