Extreme Weather: Update

Dear Parent/ Career,

Please note the following precautions for the expected heat waves early next week:

Monday/ Tuesday:

Uniform

Royds PE kit or Uniform minus Blazer and tie.

Celebration event

Monday's celebration event is cancelled due to high temperatures and will be rescheduled in September. This will also apply to assemblies.

Royds will be following government guidance, outdoor lessons will be moved indoors as appropriate, windows will be opened early to aid improved ventilation and students will be encouraged to drink lots of water and avoid excessive physical activity at social times.

Future communication for Wednesday will follow.
